Dr. Kathleen Metzker

Kathleen offers Arts in Counseling clients non-clinical wellness services such as:

  • Brave Presence Group: A Mindfulness-Based Program for Conflict, Compassion, and Embodied Resilience

  • Radical self-love: An afternoon group retreat

  • Individual Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Coaching

Kathleen specialties include stress management education, trauma-informed care, and anti-oppressive practices. She believes in living with compassion and bravery as we navigate the joys and sorrows of life.

By cultivating mindful practices that promote an open mind, easeful body, and resilience, Kathleen believes we can meet life’s challenges with greater ease and freedom—even in the midst of suffering. Her mission is to help individuals overcome stress and anxiety by integrating mind-body practices that nurture balance, well-being, and a deep sense of connection.

Kathleen likes to offers practical wellness solutions that shift culture and create environments where inclusivity, belonging, and sustainable growth can thrive. By fostering a culture where all individuals feel valued and empowered, organizations can cultivate healthier, more resilient teams that navigate challenges with ease and balance.

Since the early 2000s, Kathleen has worked with individuals and groups across the lifespan, providing support for general wellness, chronic health conditions, chronic pain, and behavioral health needs. In addition, she have has held leadership roles in Integrative Health, where she has advanced systems that promote mindfulness, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive care, and organizational wellbeing at the intersection of public health, healthcare, and higher education.

Kathleen earned my her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management with a focus on Mind-Brain Learning from Drexel University and a Master’s degree in Public Health with a Certificate in Integrative Health from West Chester University. She has been teaching yoga since 2004 and integrates her background in mindfulness, somatic awareness, and mind-body medicine into all aspects of her work. Kathleen is also a top-tier Reiki practitioner and Reflexologist.
