Restorative Rate Model: Our Restorative Rate offers 20% reduced pricing for BIPOC clients. This is an opt-in and self-identified model of care. This policy is born out of Arts in Counseling founder’s commitment to creating a more just and equitable society through reparative action. As part of this commitment, we offer discounts specifically to members of the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) community. We recognize that many communities face systemic barriers and forms of oppression. Our decision to focus this particular effort on BIPOC individuals is rooted in the understanding that, in the United States, race has played a uniquely foundational role in determining access to opportunity, wealth, safety, and justice. This initiative acknowledges the lasting impact of slavery, colonization, segregation, and institutional racism, which continue to result in intergenerational poverty and systemic exclusion. We view this as a small act of reparative economic justice, not in place of broader solutions, but as a step within our sphere of influence. We remain in solidarity with all oppressed groups and continue to explore ways to support equity across a wide spectrum of identities and experiences.

Payment Method: Services can be paid for in cash, check, credit card or through the use of Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Account, and Flexible Spending Accounts. Superbills are sent monthly for clients to submit directly to their insurance for reimbursement.

Refunds: Services are not charged until after services are occurred. No refunds are offered for services that have been rendered.

Insurance: We do not currently take insurance but clients can use their HSA cards and/orsubmit their monthly AiC superbill to their insurance for reimbursement.

  • Intake & Consent Forms: A link to intake and consent electronic forms will be emailed to the address that a client provides. Forms must be completed in our HIPPA compliant, confidential health portal before or during the first appointment.

Good Faith Estimates are issued to new clients. Rates are evaluated annually and subject to change with a minimum of 30 days’ notice along with the issue of annually updated GFE (Good Faith Estimate).

  • We understand that life can be unpredictable and that schedules sometimes need to change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee equal to 50% of your session rate, except in cases of illness or emergency.

This policy helps us hold consistent space for clients and ensures that time reserved for you can be offered to someone else in need of care. Thank you for your understanding and respect for this shared commitment.
