  • Malia integrates expressive arts therapy, therapeutic sound practices, mindfulness-based tools, and nature-based experiences into her work.   • Malia completed a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Millersville University, where she also earned a certificate in Expressive Arts. She is a trained Therapeutic Sound Practitioner, having completed a 108-hour intensive program at the Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy. Her training integrates trauma-informed, and expressive arts-based approaches, providing her with a versatile foundation for supporting emotional well-being, personal growth, and creative exploration.

  • Malia’s professional experience spans youth and family support, expressive arts programming, group sound meditations, and nature- and animal-assisted therapeutic settings, including equine-assisted therapy. She has facilitated community workshops, creative wellness groups, and mind-body healing experiences across schools, nonprofits, and outdoor therapeutic environments.

    Her work also includes research on sound healing and expressive arts for stress reduction within nature-based therapeutic programs.
